In his role as Director at Pfizer R&D and Researcher at the Karolinska Institute, and with workplaces in San Diego, Boston and Stockholm, Anders promotes and manages collaboration between industry and academia in US and Sweden to advance the understanding of disease biology and novel therapeutics development.
Anders received his M.S. in molecular biology and his Ph.D. in cardiovascular genetics from Uppsala University in Sweden in 2001 and 2006, respectively and did his postdoctoral training at the Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, after which he joined Pfizer in the UK in 2009.
On April 7 2021, Anders shared his experiences in public-private partnership in US and Sweden, discuss the strengths of the research environments and geographies and highlight some opportunities for pre-competitive collaboration for SMEs, large companies and academia.
